We’re not a franchise that parachutes strangers into your home. The crew that shows up in Costa Mesa lives in Orange County, fights the same 405 traffic as you, and knows the difference between a 1960s Eastside ranch and a newer Mesa Verde build. Since 2011, Neil Ashford has built this team slowly, hiring people who treat an attic like a workspace they’ll be judged on and a home like someone’s biggest investment. What unites every person on this page is simple: they hate the phrase “that’s good enough” as much as you do.
Our People
Marcus R. – Lead Technician, Insulation Systems
Marcus has been with Warmline for nine years, making him the longest-tenured tech on the Costa Mesa crew. He holds his BPI Building Analyst certification and is our go-to person for spray foam jobs, where temperature, humidity, and mixing pressure all have to line up or the material won’t cure right. Marcus has crawled through more Eastside attics than he can count, and he still gets genuinely annoyed when he finds gaps around a can light that a previous contractor left wide open. Off the clock, he’s rebuilding a 1972 Datsun pickup in his garage, which means he brings the same patience to your home energy audit that he does to a carburetor he’s rebuilt three times.
Dana L. – Senior Installer, Attic & Walls
Dana came to Warmline after six years in residential remodeling, which is why she’s the one who notices the framing details other installers walk past. She specializes in blown-in insulation and dense-pack wall jobs, and she’s certified by Owens Corning for their AttiCat system. Dana lives in Costa Mesa and has a running mental map of which neighborhoods have the oldest homes and the weirdest attic layouts. She once found a perfectly preserved 1970s Sears catalog in a crawl space on the Westside and still brings it up when a job runs long. She’s the calm voice on the phone when you have questions mid-project.
Mike T. – Service Coordinator
Mike is the person who answers when you call at 7:45 p.m. or 6:10 a.m. He’s been with Warmline for five years and knows the schedule, the permits, and the material lead times without looking at a screen. Before this, Mike ran operations for a plumbing company in Irvine, so he’s heard every homeowner concern that exists and none of them faze him. He’s the one who confirms your window, tells you exactly what the crew will do first, and doesn’t leave you guessing about anything. Mike keeps a small notebook in his back pocket with every Costa Mesa street that has alley access, because that detail determines where our truck can park.
Elena S. – Apprentice, Attic Insulation & Air Sealing
Elena is two years into her apprenticeship with Warmline, and she’s the one who does the meticulous air sealing work that makes insulation actually perform. She started on a crew in Santa Ana before joining us, and she’s already earned her OSHA 10 certification and passed our internal blower-door training. Elena is the person who will insist on re-caulking a top plate seam that most people would call “close enough.” She’s also the only one on the team who can identify every bird species that’s ever nested in a Costa Mesa eave, which has become genuinely useful on rodent-proofing jobs.
